Founded in 1989, Wight Nature Fund, or WNF has been working to preserve land of environmental significance on the Isle of Wight since 1989.
Our second objective is to educate the public as to why there is a need for conservation of this land, on the Isle of Wight.
After a complete change of Trustees at the end of 2021, our new Trustees are focusing their attention on Mill Copse, just south of Yarmouth. This is the only land currently under management and control of Wight Nature Fund.
In 2022 WNF has sponsored the publication of Yarmouth and Shalfleet. Coastal Town and Country Parish. This is a book that celebrates the natural environment and the wildlife, the history and rich heritage of this area.

The book has been designed to be accessible to a wide range of ages and a copy of it has been given to all of the children in Yarmouth and Shalfleet Primary Schools, to help the children better understand and connect with the area in which they live and go to school.
We are also selling copies of the book in selected outlets: Holdings of Yarmouth and Medina Bookshop, in Cowes.
If you would like to buy a copy of the book and are not able to buy from the above outlets, please get in contact and we can provide details to make a BACS payment for the book and postal delivery.
